What should I do if I get the error “This code is no longer valid” on the Global Inter Cel?
The message “This code is no longer valid” appears when:
- You try to add an eSIM that has already been added
- The QR code was partially scanned due to a poor connection
- If it’s the first installation attempt, it may be due to a weak connection, an active VPN, or having too many eSIMs installed on the same device
⚠️ Important: If you delete the chip, you will not be able to reinstall it.
Once the eSIM is installed and activated, you will see the ICCID [NUMBER] + an additional digit (as long as the eSIM line appears as “Activated” in your Cellular Plans).
Check if it’s installed:
- iOS device 📱
Go to Settings > General > About > Scroll down to find the ICCID
- Samsung device 📱
Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Under “eSIM,” select More Information
- Pixel device 📱
Tap the phone icon > Dial *#06# and press call > Check the ICCID
❗ If it’s not activated, follow these steps in your destination country:
- iOS device 📱
Go to Settings > Cellular > Find the eSIM and activate it
- Samsung device 📱
Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Find the eSIM and activate it
- Pixel device 📱
Go to Settings > Search “SIMs” > Locate the eSIM and activate it
