What happens to my International Investments when I pass away?

After your passing, your beneficiary is responsible for initiating the transfer by providing required documentation. Before assets are transferred: 

• Any outstanding margin balances or debts must be settled. 
• Certain securities may be liquidated if they cannot be evenly distributed. 
• Assets may be temporarily restricted until beneficiary entitlement is confirmed. 

If no valid beneficiary can be identified or if documentation is incomplete, the account assets may be paid to the estate instead.
