Why do some companies pay dividends and others don't?

More established companies with stable cash flow tend to distribute part of their earnings,  common in sectors like utilities, consumer goods, and financial institutions. Growth-focused companies, such as those in technology, typically reinvest profits back into the business. Neither approach is better; they simply reflect different ways of creating value.
